Poetry Speaks Loud
Poetry Speaks Loud
Poster selected for the Graphic Stories – Poetry Speaks Loud exhibition, inspired by Jacques Prévert’s poem Les enfants qui s’aiment.
The Starting Point
How can a poem become a single image?
The challenge was to translate the atmosphere and meaning of Jacques Prévert’s poem into a visual composition.
Concept
The composition contrasts two distant figures with a couple embracing at the centre. The image reflects the poem’s message, portraying love as something that exists beyond the judgement of those who look on.
